This is,by far, one of the most important concepts in texas hold’em. Employing a top 10 tactic is the absolute initial tactic that competitors should learn considering that it teaches the competitor excellent habits that will proceed to later success.
Folks are always inquiring with me what a good, solid course of action is for a beginner playing Texas Hold’em. My response is constantly the same, employ a top ten tactic.
Top Ten strategy, applies to the top 10 pockets hands that you are able to have. These hands are AA, king-king, queen-queen, AK suited, JJ, TT, 99, eight-eight, AQ suited, and seven-seven. The tactic indicates that you only play these hands. This will proceed to extremely conservative action, but for a newcomer to texas hold’em, conservatively is precisely how you want to play.
It appears to me that I am always observing novices competing very boldly, they are the 1st players to go all in, and that’s typically the wrong strategy. If these amateur players would hold to a top ten poker tactic, they would fair much more in the long term. More notably, this conservative top 10 poker tactic will educate the beginning player endurance, which is the most vital virtue that a texas hold’em player can possess.
