Double-hand Poker is a modern game with old origins. Founded on the ancient Chinese tile game and the current American variation of poker, Pai Gow poker bands together the east with the wild west in a wonderful game for beginner level players.
Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the player vs. the house, unlike most other poker games that players play against other players. By playing against the dealer, starting players do not need to worry about other, more advanced people taking their cash.
One more Pai Gow advantage is the fairly slow game play, beginners can take their time and scheme without needing to make frenzied decisions.
It is also much simpler to participate in for a long time with only a small amount of cash seeing as, to not win, both of your hands must be under both of the dealer’s hands.
Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the customary 52-card basic deck and one joker. The player is given seven cards face up and the croupier receives seven cards face down.
A five card hand and a two card hand need to be put together from the seven cards dealt, the five card hand must be better than the two card hand. To win, a player needs both of his hand totals to be higher than the casino’s.
