Internet poker has become globally acclaimed recently, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game shows. The games universal appeal, though, stretches back in fact a bit farther than its TV scores. Over the years several variants on the original poker game have been created, including some games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of the above-mentioned games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely related to chemin de fer than traditional poker, in that the gamblers wager against the casino rather than each other. The succeeding hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is no conniving or other kinds of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up just before the croupier announcing "No further bets." At that moment, both you and the house and of course every one of the different players acquire five cards each. Once you have observed your hand and the casino’s first card, you must in turn make a call bet or surrender. The call wager’s value is akin to your original bet, indicating that the stakes will have doubled. Giving Up means that your wager goes instantaneously to the house. After the bet is the face off. If the dealer does not have ace/king or better, your bet is returned, plus an amount in accordance with the ante. If the dealer has a hand with ace/king or better, you win if your hand beats the dealer’s hand. The bank pony’s up cash equal to your original bet and set odds on your call bet. These odds are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for two pairs
  • 3-1 for 3 of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
