Poker has become globally famous recently, with televised events and celebrity poker game events. Its universal appeal, though, stretches back quite a bit further than its television ratings. Over the years numerous variations on the earliest poker game have been created, including a handful of games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely related to twenty-one than old guard poker, in that the players wager against the bank instead of each other. The winning hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is no bluffing or other types of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to pay up just before the dealer broadcasting "No further wagers." At that instance, both you and the casino and of course every one of the different players are given five cards. After you have looked at your hand and the dealer’s initial card, you must either make a call wager or accede. The call wager’s value is equal to your original ante, meaning that the risks will have doubled. Bowing out means that your wager goes instantaneously to the house. After the bet is the showdown. If the dealer doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your bet is given back, with an amount in accordance with the initial wager. If the casino does have ace/king or better, you win if your hand defeats the casino’s hand. The house pays out cash equal to your ante and controlled odds on your call wager. These odds are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • two to one for 2 pairs
  • 3-1 for 3 of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • twenty to one for a four of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
