Web poker has become world acclaimed recently, with televised championships and celebrity poker game events. Its universal appeal, though, arcs back quite a bit farther than its TV scores. Over the years numerous variants on the earliest poker game have been created, including a handful of games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely resembling 21 than traditional poker, in that the gamblers bet against the dealer rather than the other players. The winning hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little conniving or different kinds of boondoggle. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up prior to the croupier announcing "No more bets." At that point, both you and the casino and of course every one of the different players are given 5 cards. After you have seen your hand and the dealer’s 1st card, you need to in turn make a call bet or surrender. The call wager’s value is akin to your original wager, meaning that the stakes will have doubled. Bowing out means that your ante goes immediately to the bank. After the wager comes the conclusion. If the casino does not have ace/king or better, your wager is given back, including a sum in accordance with the ante. If the dealer does have ace/king or greater, you win if your hand beats the dealer’s hand. The house pays chips even with your original bet and set expectations on your call wager. These expectations are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • two to one for 2 pairs
  • 3-1 for three of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • 20-1 for a four of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
