Poker has become world acclaimed as of late, with televised events and celebrity poker game events. The games universal appeal, though, stretches back in reality a bit farther than its television ratings. Over the years several types on the original poker game have been created, including some games that are not in reality poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely related to blackjack than traditional poker, in that the gamblers bet against the house rather than the other players. The succeeding hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is no bluffing or other types of boondoggle. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up just before the dealer announcing "No further bets." At that moment, both you and the casino and of course every one of the other gamblers are given 5 cards. Once you have seen your hand and the bank’s 1st card, you need to either make a call wager or bow out. The call bet’s value is on same level to your original bet, which means that the risks will have doubled. Abandoning means that your ante goes immediately to the house. After the wager is the conclusion. If the casino does not have ace/king or better, your bet is given back, including a sum on par with the ante. If the house has a hand with ace/king or better, you succeed if your hand is greater than the bank’s hand. The casino pays money equal to your bet and controlled expectations on your call bet. These odds are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • two to one for 2 pairs
  • three to one for three of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • twenty to one for a four of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
